Deleting a Project
Understand what happens when you delete a VibeMint project and the permanent consequences of this action. We strongly recommend reviewing the alternatives before proceeding.
This Action is Permanent
Deleting a project cannot be undone. All project data, uploaded assets, configurations, and the subdomain binding are permanently and immediately removed. There is no recovery or restore option once confirmed. Consider the alternatives below before proceeding.
What Happens When You Delete
Subdomain Unbound
Your *.vibemint.com subdomain mapping is scrubbed immediately from the API database. Visitors will receive a 404 error page.
Project Data Erased
All project configurations, block settings, uploaded assets, and token data are permanently purged from storage.
SSL Certificate Revoked
The SSL certificate associated with your subdomain or custom domain is deprovisioned automatically after deletion.
Custom DNS Not Cleaned
Custom DNS CNAME records pointing to your project at your domain registrar must be manually removed. VibeMint cannot modify external DNS records.
How to Delete a Project
Navigate to Your Project
Open your Founder Dashboard and locate the project you wish to delete. Click on the project card to open the project management panel.
Open Project Settings
Inside the project panel, navigate to the Settings tab. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
Click Delete Project
Click the "Delete Project" button. A confirmation modal will appear warning you that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Confirm Deletion
Type your project name in the confirmation input to verify intent. Once confirmed, the project is permanently deleted and all associated resources are removed instantly.
Safety Confirmation Required
VibeMint requires you to type your exact project name into a confirmation field before deletion is processed. This prevents accidental project removal and ensures deliberate intent. The confirmation string is case-sensitive and must match exactly.

Alternatives to Deletion
Before you delete, consider these safer options that preserve your work or give you flexibility to pivot.
Unpublish Instead
Take your site offline without deleting it. The project remains in your dashboard as a draft — all data, settings, and assets are preserved. You can republish at any time.
Edit and Rebrand
Change the project name, swap the template, update the token contract, and rebrand the entire site rather than deleting. A complete overhaul takes minutes.
